The Natural disaster Scenery that The Tutor Asked Us To Draw

The tutor asked us to draw a natural disaster Into Adobe Photoshop With a Bamboo Artists Graphic Tablet. with the tablet (Which I have never used one before today 12-9-2012) I seemed to have Picked up the Use of it quite quickly and within ten minutes of getting used to it, it felt like an attachment to my own arm in which I enjoyed every second I was on it.

The Tutor Also let us Experiment with our own ideas so I just randomly Drew My own Character Design so out of pure Randomness meet Fred that tour Tuesday Tutor is always on about in her Examples. This was also created by the tablet with a use of the brush tool creating the outline and face the I coloured in the Hair Particularly "Ginger" because I thought by first choice it would suit and I believe it did Successfully. Then i coloured in the Face but the end Result did not meet expectations as i thought they would be matched so I Took away the Colour and kept the Image as Head with ginger Hair and a partial smile

Health And Safety

I completed the Health and Safety Quiz with 60 % out of 70% which i believe is a grade "D"

TOKYO — A series of earthquakes rattled Tokyo and northeastern Japan on Wednesday evening but caused no apparent damage or injury in the same region hit by last year's devastating tsunami.

The strongest was a magnitude 6.8 that struck off Hokkaido island and generated a small tsunami. Some communities along the northern Pacific coast advised residents to evacuate coastal homes.

A swelling of 20 centimeters (8 inches) was observed in water at the port of Hachinohe in Aomori about an hour after the tremor, with smaller changes seen elsewhere. The Meteorological Agency lifted all tsunami advisories within about 90 minutes.

About 9 p.m. local time, a magnitude-6.1 quake shook buildings in the capital. It was centered just off the coast of Chiba, east of Tokyo, at a rather shallow 15 kilometers (9 miles) deep.

Narita International Airport briefly closed runways for inspection but later resumed operation. Several local train services were suspended for safety checks.

There were no abnormalities reported at nuclear power plants after the two earthquakes, operators said. Nearly all of Japan's nuclear plants are offline for safety inspections.

This past Sunday, Japan marked the first anniversary of the massive magnitude-9.0 earthquake and tsunami that left some 19,000 people dead or missing, wreaked widespread damage along the northeastern coast and triggered the worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl. Rebuilding has yet to fully begin in many coastal communities.

Wednesday's temblors were considered aftershocks of last year's massive quake, Meteorological Agency official Akira Nagai told a news conference, warning residents to stay away from buildings already damaged by it and the thousands of aftershocks since.

The town of Otsuchi in Iwate prefecture, where more than 800 died in last year's tsunami, told residents to evacuate coastal households as a precaution after Wednesday's quake, said prefectural disaster management official Shinichi Motoyama. No damage or injury was reported, he said.

All of these natural disasters are devastations of the world as we know today Earthquakes, Wild Fires, Typhoons, tornado’s, hurricanes, tsunami’s and Floods can completely destroy and eradicate the area that they affect killing hundreds if there’s no warning. Some people (visionary artists) like

LO3: Produce final artwork

 With my final piece I started with a Google Maps Perspective of the London eye Near Belvedere Road

 Then I deleted the previous sky and replaced it with a Background of a Tornado .

 Then I added a small fire affect in between the Buildings

Then a Bigger Explosion just below the tornado and above the Buildings to signify that the Tornado has forced something to Crash into an Oil Tanker or etc. to give off an effect .

I feel that with a little more knowledgeable experience in Photoshop I would have Created a better piece but on the good side I did find that it was a Fun experience and I'd do it again and at least I some knowledge for next time I do Similar work

LO2: Explore materials, tools, techniques to support ideas

This Image what I have named the "Lizapotamus" (Lizard body and a Hippo head) was a Demo we did on
Photoshop With multiple effects. a lot of Blurring and masking was done during this time. it was an enjoyable experience learning how to use Photoshop, especially when I'm technically New to Photoshop so learning new ways to use the tools.I'm Proud of this piece because of how well I've Blended the Textures together and how well the colours match.

This is another Demo we did with the images of Big Ben, The Sea, a Wave, a London Bus and a Dark Sky.
I'm pleased with the Result of the Final piece, it may not be the best but it's my work and I like how I've done the Weathering effects although it would be better if I blended the clouds and water more. also a little bit more of a dissolve Splash effect would make the Scene More Realistic.

LO1: Research and develop design ideas

I had a cloud layer and then I added a “noise”

Then I burnt the image for a darker effect.

Then I played around with the Contrast, Hue and Saturation to give it a freshly dyed Blonde Hair Look and that was my Final Product

With this I played around with the Clouds and made a Lava/Fire effect which I feel to be very successful.

This Was a True Play around with nearly all the Photoshop element s that I know although I can’t remember the order How I did this I am very proud of this piece.

  This is probably the least Favourite of my work but the only main thing I like about this is the Background Blue and white swirl Behind the Tree like Figures. If there were a Dark Background then this would remind me of the Game   SLENDER   where there Trees are deceiving

Chistian Sánchez – Colombia

This image actually reminds me of an interesting era of my life. Being a Gamer I play a lot of PS3 or PC games which can become anything between the Most Common FPS “Call of Duty” to the Famous First person Sandbox “Minecraft”.  But this particular Image reminds me of a Game Called Aliens Vs. Predator where the Movie Based Androids or Artificial intelligence from the ALIEN Movie Series. This also makes Me Feel a sense of FREEDOM, Free Falling and free flowing. this work also reminds me the work of an artist called Salvador Dali where the sense of unrealism and Background (Themed story) that has a lot to offer. as seen in the picture below: 

This image makes me think of a Light in the darkness scene were the being (angel) holding new life in a Bleeding, Damned World. With what appears to be floating Marble Blocks Engraved with Symbols of possible Old Scriptures of a previous Time. And the Rocky Lava effect that almost appears to have Figures of Dead bodies and War animals like dead horses. And if you look carefully to the Marble Cube That I’ve Put an Arrow to it has a Skull Like Figure Blended into the rock best seen in larger image.

This image Reminds me of the Film “Prometheus” Where the beings look very similar. As you can see in the Image below The Beings mainly from the Face look Human But without the Pupils make the being look ghostly or non-Human or if you want to stretch the meaning a little bit more a being from another World. I do like this image in a sense because of how other worldly it seems. The Background on the image on the left seems plain there doesn't seem of be a lot of colour, Where as the image on the right is got a massive amount of detail and colour in the background ad foreground.

Mel Gama – Brazil

This image has a slightly gothic feel to it, from the land to the sky and what appears to be a portal of some sort, to another world maybe? Where you can see a desert which is Dead and unforgiving and then the light from the portal looks Nearly Heavenly compared to the dusk, barren landscape that is held behind it. The Woman that is in the picture looks like she’s not expecting what is to come through this gateway of light and she looks slightly nervous like she’s being forced or dared to but not through her own will , could there be others? This picture can hold endless Noticeable factors that inspire the imagination but there is only a few that can be listed in a short space of time. The lighting in this picture is incredible and interesting and a Mayan saying comes to mind…
